Family Camp 2019


Some things never change - our family's enjoyment of RCC's Annual Family Camp appears to be one of them! Michael's brother Zane stayed with us this year, as he has in the past and joined us on our Free Day excursion. I don't have many pictures of Phinehas - he was moving too fast! 


We added Talent to the annual Variety Show/Talent night this year, with Judah and Simon performing a section from  A Midsummer Night's Dream, previously performed at their school play.

The necklace Michael gave me for my birthday at Camp. He gave me a present a day to make it a "birthday week!"

Our family outing on Free Day included this odd excursion along an unused portion of railroad track near Manzanita.

Ezra participated at Camp in several ways, one of them being playing the guitar for the children's campfire, accompanying his Aunt Angela.

Photobomber at Mary S. Young Park Watching Ethan play games on his phone COVID Parking lot church! Grill Master! In February of 2020, shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic shut everything down, we ended up having an unexpected houseguest join us for a few day - which turned into 6 months! And you take pictures! This was at the wedding of Luke and Maria Dahlin, who thoughtfully provided a photo booth for their guests, run by Peter Mahar. A good time was had by all!  Photo booth silliness! My two blondes. I love this photo: Judah all casual and Ezra so serious... Eagerly waiting for the bride and groom to make an appearance! The Theatre, the Theatre .. the OSF Theatre in Ashland

Our Trip To Ashland, OR in July We've been wanting to take our kids to see some plays in Ashland, OR for several years but this year we finally made the leap! We were scheduled to see Love's Labor's Lost in the outdoor Allen Elizabethan Theatre, Henry V in the Thomas Theater and Othello in the Bowman Theatre, but we only made it to the last two. Sadly, the first one was cancelled due to the wildfire smoke in the area, that was kind of off the charts and unhealthy to breathe - and there's no way to filter it out in an outdoor theater! Still, we had a pretty good time, and the kids enjoyed Henry V, which ended up being the only one they saw. It was a good one, though, and in a theater that is so small that anywhere you sit you are only yards away from the performers. My parents and my sister, Katy, and her significant other, Ryan, joined us for the adventure.  A vacation with Michael would not be complete without some sort of hike: this one in the Siskiyou National
